Moving around is a little clunky, particularly when you only want to move one square. There should also be safe zones immediately around entrances to towns/caves etc where the enemies cannot attack you. Enemies on the world map trigger battles way too often. It kept me engaged, wasn't frustrating, and I was able to figure it out at the right pace. The torch puzzle in the Hideout cave was well done. Dialogue feels natural and helps flesh out the characters and world. Thank you so much for the diary that automatically displays when you load a save! The basic attacks feel like using skills, and having them change depending on what weapons you have equipped really helped to keep minor battles interesting. Customisations to the menus and battle system really make this game stand out. Game aesthetics look great: the art, the animations, the maps, the extra little intro when you first launch the game. I suspect the project has been abandoned but I'm providing the following feedback in case the dev ever comes back to this. While there isn't much to this game so far, it's obvious a lot of time and attention has been put into what is here.
